You’ve made it this far.
You’re abstinent from whatever process was creating enough suffering in your life to consider the thought that you might be addicted. Whether it was alcohol or other substances. You found a way to stop. Treatment, 12-step groups, rehab, smart recovery, Refuge Recovery. Whatever it took.
Now you find yourself feeling like abstinence was just the beginning.
You might be noticing other behaviors starting to have the same charge that your primary addiction did. Less consequences, but something feels similar. Relationships are difficult, money feels complicated, eating isn’t feeling nourishing, emotions are hard to deal with, and craving is just as present.
After Abstinence is group therapy for people in recovery who are ready to explore the deeper layers of healing. Together, we look beyond abstinence to understand the roots of addictive patterns—like unresolved trauma, attachment wounds, and relational struggles.
This group offers a therapist-led space where your story is met with care, not judgment. Through shared reflection and connection, we support each other in building a recovery that feels honest, sustainable, and rooted in relationship—with ourselves and with others.

We explore the challenges and opportunities of long term recovery including:
THIS GROUP IS FOR YOU IF…
🧭 You’ve quit a substance or behavior, but still feel lost or untethered
Abstinence brought relief—but also stirred confusion or a sense of emptiness.
🌀 You notice new patterns creeping in
Shopping, scrolling, controlling, or restricting—different behaviors, same familiar loop.
💔 Your relationships feel strained or unclear
You’re unsure how to connect, set boundaries, or rebuild intimacy after abstaining.
🫥 You feel like you’re “doing recovery right,” but still feel hollow
Outward success doesn’t match your inner experience.
🧱 You’re bumping up against emotional walls
Big feelings, numbness, shame, or anxiety show up more now that you’re not numbing them.
🫂 You crave honest, grounded connection
You want community that honors your story without judgment or rigid rules.
🪞 You’re asking deeper questions about identity and purpose
Who am I now? What do I value? How do I want to live?
🌱 You’re ready to grow—gently and at your own pace
This isn’t about fixing yourself. It’s about nurturing what’s already wise within you.
📿 You’re drawn to relational, body-based, or spiritual approaches to recovery
Something beyond checklists and dogma. Something alive.
🔥 You know there’s more healing to do—and you’re ready to begin
You’ve stopped the behavior. Now you want to build something meaningful in its place.
